I have been married to my husband, Gary for 29+ years. We have two grown children, Jason and Christine. Gary and I currently live in Arizona in the middle of the Navajo Nation; since Gary began teaching out here almost two years ago.

I was born and raised in Southern Florida with my three siblings. My father was a carpenter working on high-rise buildings, usually along the beach. My mother was a stay-at-home mom. Since marrying and moving away in 1974, I have had no desire to return there to live. We no longer have family in Florida and our friends have moved to other areas of the country as well.

While moving around the world for twenty years while Gary was in the US Army, I finally earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland. Unfortunately, I have decided that working in the Accounting field is not exactly what I want to do. I still think about working in the medical field, which is what I wanted to do many years ago.

Since moving to Arizona, I have not had the need, want, or opportunity to obtain employment. It has been wonderful to just do the things I want and/or need to do without worrying about taking time off from a job. My current passions are scrapbooking, genealogy research, and learning how to create a website. All are very time intensive, so you can see I am never bored or lacking for things to do.

When I need to relax, I like to play games online at Pogo. My username there is mombear_56, hence my nickname "Mombear".
