I will be out of town to Long Island NY, from now until June 3rd. My dear friend has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I am going to spend the month with her, helping where I can. We have been friends since the third grade but life has gotten in the way and we have not seen each other for almost 24 years! I am very thankful for this opportunity to spend time with her, even if it's not the best of circumstances. I'll write again when I get back. :)

1. How do you find out which performances are in town and at which venue? I usually hear about them on the radio or television.
2. How do you buy your tickets (i.e. online, box office, eBay)? Either box office or online. Depends on convenience.
3. Do you have copies of seating charts you refer to or just accept what's offered? I try to review seating charts online or ask to see it at the box office.
4. Which is most important: seating location or hearing the music live? Hearing the music live and seeing the performer in person. It doesn't really matter where my seat is as long as I can see.
5. Which venue, if any, do you absolutely refuse to see a performance at? I don't have one.
6. Do you dine at the venue or eat prior to the performance and why? We will usually eat dinner out before the performance, just to make it special.
7. Do you attend performances with certain folks only? Usually just my husband.
8. Which items are standard accessories/must haves for any performance? Don't have any preferences.
9. Do you buy merchandise/souvenirs? I like to get a t-shirt.
10. What's the most you ever spent for a ticket (one ticket) and which performance? Was it worth it and why? I can't remember, but I think it may have been $65 to see Shania Twain. It was a great concert!
11. How far will you drive for that performance you just can't miss? Considering where we live, I would drive 5 hrs and spend the night.

1. What season are you in right now? Spring
2. Do you celebrate anything special this time of year? Easter
3. Name 3 things that come to mind when you think of spring (or your current season)? Baby animals, rain, flowers
4. In the current season, about how many hours of the day are daylight hours? About 12-14 hrs.
5. Do you do any 'spring cleaning?' I don't plan spring cleaning, but I start thinking about cleaning all the dust out of the house. And this year, we are preparing the yeard to plant grass and hopefully some rose bushes and other flowers.
6. Do you wash your own car or take it to the car wash? We usually wash it ourselves.
7. Do you hang your laundry out on a clothesline on nice days? No. We have lots of nice days, but if it's breezy at all there is tons of dust blowing. That's desert life! :)
...and the following is optional; although I do encourage you to participate:
8. Post a picture that reflects the current season where you live.

Let's Go Digital!
From the time you get up in the morning until the time you go to bed at night, how many different digital/electronic devices do you use on any given day? Please consider listing them, as it would be interesting to see what everyone comes up with!
Alarm Clock
Coffee Maker
Microwave
Camera
Computer
Printer
Scanner
Phone
Blender
TV
Stereo
Adding Machine
This is all I can think of right now. I guess it's a lot though. :)
...and an optional random question, because I just cleaned my mouse...
How often do you clean your mouse? I use an optical mouse and there really isn't anything to clean on it.

Hello everyone! I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for another Mad Monday! =)
1. On what day of the week were you born? Wednesday
2. Were you born in the morning, afternoon, or evening? I'm really not sure, but I think it was very early in the morning.
3. How many siblings do you have? Brothers or sisters? 1 brother and 2 sisters
4. Do you (or did you) ever wish you were an only child? And if you ARE an only child, did you ever wish you had brothers and sisters? I don't remember ever thinking I was an only child, although I really did not (and still don't) get along with my older sister.
5. Did you (or do you) dream of having a big family of your own? I used to dream about having a large family with six kids. In fact, I only have two children, a boy and a girl. I often wish I had more children.
6. In your opinion, which is (or would be) easier to raise; boys or girls? That's a tough question since my son was not what is considered the "typical" boy. He was and is a very sensitive person more interested in computer stuff rather than sports or cars. Our daughter has a very strong personality and has always been independent (as I was hoping.) I don't think you can generalize for this question because it always depends on the temperament of the child.
7. In looks, do you favor your mother or your father? My father.

The following questions all begin with Where you live...
1. ...did you have to turn your clocks forward one hour this weekend? Yes. We are unique in the state of Arizona, because the Navajo reservation is the only area in Arizona that practices daylight savings time.
2. ...what is the price of gasoline? I'm doing this a few weeks late, but gas here is currently about $2.26 for regular unleaded.
3. ...which natural disasters, if any, do you have to worry about? None. We get a lot of mud when there is a lot of rain, but since the land is flat we don't have to worry about slides.
4. ...do you have a local newspaper, and if so, do you subscribe to it? Our "local" newspaper, isn't really local at all, but is marketed specifically to the Navajo people. It's a free paper and we pick it up weekly at the local convenience store.
5. ...do you subscribe to a local cable company for television viewing? No. We have a satellite dish with the DISH company.
6. ...what is the speed limit on your road/street? 45mph right in our little town, but a few yards from our development, the main road goes up to 65 mph.
7. ...how far do you have to drive to the nearest post office? It's right around the corner, but the post office we use is in the town where my husband works, 13 miles away.
8. ...what is the average temperature in April? 55 F
9. ...what is the average temperature in December? 30 F
10. ...are your four seasons drastically different from one another? I would have to say yes. Our summer is very short though.
